(A) Select the position of the tap on your counter or
sink unit. TIP Ensure you have room underneath to
connect filter to botttom of tap.
Drill
a 12mm hole.
(B)
Insert the tail of the pipe through the hole and secure
using the washers and locking nuts provided. (See
Photo 1).
Connect the plastic pipe to the tap making sure that you
use the white plastic insert and olive. (See
Photo 1).
(C) Connect the saddle valve to the cold water pipe. (See
Photo 2).
Finger tighten the clamp by turning the bottom nut.
Then
tighten properly with a spanner.
NB Do NOT overtighten. One or two spanner turns after
finger tight should do. Do not split your pipe! The aim
is simply to make the sadle valve immovable on the pipe.
(D) Once saddle clamp is secured firmly on pipe, turn
the T bar tap on the saddle clamp. (See
Photo 2). (This will pierce the pipe with
a metal pin – invisibly.)
Turn tap all the way down.
Then turn a few turns back to allow water to flow.
Check for leaks. If there are any leaks the fittings need
to be tightened.
(E) Open the ball valve (See
Photo 3). and then the countertop tap (ie
tap in Photo 1).
Finally: flush the filter through by running approx 5
litres before using the water.
Repeat this after any non use of unit for more than 2
days eg after holidays
