The Twin Pod combines our Classic Purity Pod and Scale Plus Pod into one ready-to-connect under-sink system — giving you beautifully filtered and descaled water from the same unit. Say goodbye to cloudy scum and greasy film on your tea and coffee, for good.

How it works

The Twin Pod gives you two separate water outlets, each doing a different job:

Stage 1: Your existing cold tap

Water passes through the Classic Pod into your existing cold water kitchen tap. You get filtered water at normal pressure — great for drinking, cooking, and washing produce. Comes out at your Normal Flow rate: 7+ litres per minute. 
It is not descaled at this stage (That requires a slower flow rate which you get from the Stage 2).

Stage 2: New mini worktop tap

Water has passed through Stage 1 - where it is beautifully purified - and now goes through this special anti-scale filter - where it is fully descaled. Use this to fill your kettle or coffee machine etc. This requires a lower flow rate through a special Water Filter tap included with the kit. Flow rate: ~2 per minute (fills a standard kettle in ~51 seconds).

Everything you need comes in the box. No plumber required.

Connect the Twin Pod to your cold water supply

Use the flexi hose supplied to connect the Twin Pod housing to your existing cold water kitchen tap connection. From this point on, every time you turn on your main cold tap, water flows through the Classic Pod and comes out beautifully filtered at full pressure.

Fix the mini tap to your worktop

Mount the included mini tap to your kitchen worktop or sink surround using the fittings provided. This is your dedicated descaling outlet - the one you'll use to fill your kettle and make hot drinks.

Open the mini tap for filtered and descaled water

When you open the mini tap, water travels through both pods - first the Classic Pod, then the Scale Plus Pod. The result: fully filtered and descaled water, ready for your kettle. No more limescale. No more scum on your hot drinks.

 

Note: If you already have a three way tap you can connect the dedicated descaling outlet to this.

Common questions

Do I need a plumber to install the Twin Pod? ▼

No. The Twin Pod is designed for confident DIYers. If you're comfortable turning off an isolation valve and making push-fit hose connections, you can install this yourself in around an hour. A full illustrated guide and video link are included in the box.

Why does the mini tap run slower than my main cold tap? ▼

The anti-scale cartridge in the Scale Plus Pod needs a slower flow rate to work properly - water has to stay in contact with the media long enough to neutralise hardness minerals. At ~2 litres per minute, a standard 1.7-litre kettle fills in around 51 seconds. A small wait for genuinely descaled water.

When do I replace the filters? ▼

The Classic Pod filter and the Scale Plus cartridge typically last for *6 Months depending on local water conditions . We'll email you a reminder when each cartridge is due.

Is this suitable for my area? ▼

The Twin Pod is especially recommended for hard water areas - most of southern England, the Midlands, and East Anglia. If you regularly see limescale in your kettle or scum on your hot drinks, this system is designed for you. The Classic Pod filtration benefit applies nationwide.

Cartridge Replacement Information

  • Both filters needs to be replaced every: 6 Months. (Anti-scale filter performance can vary depending on local water hardness - but 6 months is a good average

  • Running costs per day - approx: 20p

  • Replacement time / difficulty: Easy; takes a few minutes

  • Master Purifier Replacement code: USC2000
  • Anti-Scale Cartridge Replacement code: ASC2000

    These cartridges simply “drop in” to their housing. You replace the cartridges NOT the whole housing

    We send you a reminder when it’s time to change the cartridges.

  • INLET: 1/2" BSP female with Flexi hose and adapters supplied for 1/2" and 3/8ths" male or female connections - the standard undersink sizes.

  • Twin unit JOINING T-PIECE: / OUTLET TO COLD WATER TAP - 1/2" BSP male goes up to cold water tap. Flexi hose and adapters supplied for 1/2" and 3/8ths" male or female connections - the standard undersink sizes.

  • OUTLET TO ANTI-SCALE MINI TAP- 1/4 inch - all tubing and mini tap supplied.
