Renewing My Reverse Osmosis Membrane

You need to change your Reverse Osmosis membrane filter every two or three years..

We send you a reminder every three years. But you will know if you need one sooner if the flow rate starts to decline ie the tank fills more slowly.

The membrane's lifespan is affected by local water quality - in particular it can be reduced in hard water / lime scale areas. (But this itself can vary. It depends on local water chemistry).

In a low scale area a membrane might last for five years!

But changing every three years is recommended.

This is in order to avoid sudden bad taste appearing - the membrane can fail suddenly, anytime - then having to wait for a replacement membrane.

If you bought your reverse osmosis system from us then you can order a new membrane here.

If you need to change the membrane for a different Reverse Omsosis machine - ie one that we didn't supply - the best thing to do is to remove it from its housing, take a photo of it with your mobile phone and email it to us. We will be able to see if we can replace it or will try to point you in the right direction
