We can replace all Whirlpool Fridge Filters that use external filters. The most common type is the 481281718629. But your fridge may have any type of external "in line" water filter because these are all very inter-changeable. Read more on why below. Need to remove more contaminants?
This is a great filter and usually does what most people in the UK need. Its performance is the same as the old Whirlpool fridge filter.
However, if you want to remove a specific contaminant, and cannot see it in the table above - for example fluoride, hormones, heavy metals, and so on - then you probably need a Reverse Osmosis unit.
But please note that good quality Reverse Osmosis filters are expensive and are ofter "overkill" for what most UK customers need.
Usually all you need for filtering UK tap water is to remove chlorine, like this filter above does perfectly well. Then you've basically got bottle water quality!
