Fridge Filter Replacement Cartridges
This "Ultimate" Fridge Ice and Water Filter Cartridge can replace several makes of filters in various fridges including some of the following:
Whirlpool, Kenmore, KitchenAid, Sears, Smeg and other fridge makes.
This fridge filter usually fits into the front base grille at the bottom of the fridges.
This replacement fridge water filter contains high quality filtration media with a tremendous capacity to remove impurities from your drinking water.
This is a brand new unopened filter in its original packaging.
This fridge water filter must be changed every 6 months regardless of amount of water consumed - or if the fridge has been unused for more than two weeks.
This is because bacteria can grow inside the filter. Once "wet" it needs to be changed after 6 months.
We will send you a free reminder to change.
Like all fridge filters it should not be used with water that is of unknown quality - ie non mains water supplies or - without adequate disinfection before and or after the filter.
When to Change Your Whirlpool Ultimate 4396510 Filter II
This water filter has a life of up to 6 months.
The filter monitor light on the refrigerator should turn red at this stage.
However this light is based on time only. It is not any type of water quality sensor
The filter should be replaced sooner than the 6 months if you notice any taste and odour in the water - eg chlorine.
You should also change it before 6 months if the water pressure noticeably decreases.
