Remineraliser / Realkaliser Media Information
About the Remineralising Media
The remineraliser filter raises the water's pH by between 0.5 - 3.5
The exact value depends on local factors such as the flow rate (ie time the water passes through the filter), water temperature, pH of the input water and so on.
What is it made from
The remineraliser filter contains "Dolomite stones"
Dolomite is a natural mineral which is formed by the presence of both calcium and magnesium in limestone.
The compound is highly suitable as media for neutralising / mineralising filter installed as a treatment step after the RO watermaker or evaporator.
Dolomite minerals are commonly used for filtration and processing drinking water: to increase the pH value of the purified water after reverse osmosis filters.
While the water is strained from top to bottom in the filter, dolomite mineral dissolves and provides natural minerals to water such as calcium, magnesium and carbonate.
More on Alkalinity
The RO process makes water more acidic so the remineraliser rebalances the water back towards its original state.
The remineralizing cartridge enriches purified water with elements necessary for the human body, such as: calcium, magnesium, sodium and potassium.
It contains a high-quality minerals of natural origin (obtained from dolomites mined in the Sudetenland).
The optimal composition of minerals saturates water in perfect proportions:
CATIONS:
(avg per liter): calcium: 26 mg magnesium: 20 mg sodium: 1 mg Potassium: 0.5 - 1 mg
ANIONS:
carbonic: 25 mg sulfates: 10 mg chlorides: 5 mg bicarbonates: 30 mg
